17/05/2013 (Daily Times) - Two ships carrying containers and palm oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday, Port sources said on Thursday. Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 28% on Wednesday where four ships are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals and palm oil. Cargo throughput during the last 24 hours stood at 46,664 tonnes, comprising 27,057 tonnes imports and 19,607 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,749 containers. app
