27/02/2013 (Bernama) - Bursa Malaysia Bhd will host the Palm and Lauric Oils Conference and Exhibition 2013 (POC2013) on March 4-6 at the Shangri-la Hotel.

The event will bring together the largest gathering of global players from the palm and edible oils industry to network, exchange ideas and hear experts discuss their price outlook for the year, said Bursa Malaysia in a statement, Wednesday.

Bursa Malaysia Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, Datuk Tajuddin Atan, said with the world's most liquid palm oil futures contract traded on Bursa Malaysia, it is natural that it hosts POC2013.

"This year we will have an added focus on helping participants understand how they can take advantage of the crude palm oil futures (FCPO) contract to manage the risk of their portfolio in a volatile market like we are in today," he said.

At the event, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd will pay tribute to top volume brokers.

The conference is designed for a diverse group of market participants across the entire value chain from corporates, fund managers and traders, financial institutions, derivative participants and shipping and infrastructure providers.
