Oct Palm Oil Stocks Increase By 1.11 Per Cent To 2.51 Million Tonnes

13/11/2012 (Bernama) - Malaysia's palm oil stocks increased by 1.11 per cent to 2.51 million tonnes in October from 2.48 million tonnes the previous month.

In a statement Monday, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said Peninsular Malaysia accounted for 1.36 million tonnes, followed by Sabah (750,717 tonnes) and Sarawak (399,360 tonnes).

It said crude palm oil (CPO) stocks declined 2.71 per cent, or 43,480 tonnes, to 1.56 million tonnes in October from 1.61 million tonnes previously.

Of the stocks, Peninsular Malaysia accounted for 866,697 tonnes, followed by Sabah (469,246 tonnes) and Sarawak (227,278 tonnes).

The department said processed palm oil stocks rose by 8.14 per cent to 945,423 tonnes from 874,289 tonnes in September.
