09/11/2012 (Bernama) - Crude palm oil (CPO) prices are expected to recover in the first quarter of next year from the current level of RM2,300 per tonne, said Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) Group President, Datuk Sabri Ahmad.

However, he said the movement of CPO prices should not rise too sharply as this was not good for market sentiment.

"The prices should not be too high or too low as this is not good for the plantation players," he told reporters at a press conference here Thursday.

Sabri said although many experts predicted the prices to hover around RM2,500 to RM2,800 but "as planters, they want to see a stable price.

"But, I think the price of RM2,800 per tonne is almost possible," he added.
