11/09/2012 (Bernama) - The good market prices for rubber, oil palm or pepper has enabled rural folks in the state to earn good income.

However, some are wasting their hard earned money through irresponsible spending, thus failing to save for their future, said Deputy Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Joseph Salang said today.

Salang who is also Julau member of parliament was speaking before launching the Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad 360 Days Investment Seminar at the community hall here.

"If people can save a certain portion of their hard earned income through investments in trust funds like the Amanah Saham Nasional, the Amanah Saham Bumiputera and others, they will have something to hold on to comfortably when they can no longer work.

"Parents too can look after their families well....can finance their children's education to the highest level," he said.
