07/09/2012 (Bernama) - The government will find the best way to overcome drop in the prices of palm oil and rubber to protect the income of smallholders.

Rural and Regional Development minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the ministry would cooperate with the Ministry of Plantation, Industries and Commodity to overcome the problem.

"A cabinet meeting yesterday decided that the Ministry of Plantation, Industries and Commodities will find the best way to help smallholders," he told reporters at the 2012 Risda Aidilfitri gathering, here, Thursday.
