North Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Piñol told reporters that Malaysianbusinessman Sho King Han of the Mindanao Agricultural United LandDevelopment Corporation (Maunlad) will put in some P20 million for anursery that will grow palm oil seedlings.

Piñol said a memorandum of agreement has been forged between theprovincial government of North Cotabato and Maunlad.

He said the agreement stipulates that the nursery’s seedlings can beaccess by farmers good for the next two and half years or a total of160,000 palm oil seedlings.

He said the nursery can grow planting materials good for 2,000 hectaresper year.

Piñol meanwhile said he will work for the establishment of an oil mill inhis area before his term of office ends. (PIA/pdb)
