10/07/2012 (Bernama) - Bintulu will become the talk of the town again, creating history, as two Borneo's largest trade expos namely Palm Oil Technology Sarawak (PALMEX) and Sarawak Oil and Gas 2012 (SOGEX) will be held simultaneously on July 11, bringing in here an expected 5,000 trade visitors and 300 local and foreign exhibitors.

More than 130 booths for PALMEX and SOGEX were taken up, with exhibitors including from UK, China, India, America, Singapore and Brunei.

The international events are to be held at the Bintulu Civic Centre for three days (July 11-13).

Bintulu was chosen as the event venue due to it being an oil and gas town and organised by Fireworks Event (M) Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Asian Supply Group.

Managing director of Fireworks Event Jerel Soo said besides the expos, two conferences namely Sarawak Oil & Gas Expo Conference 2012 and Palmex Sarawak 2012 Conference on "Oil & Gas Opportunities in Borneo" on July 13, will be held at the Civic Centre in Bintulu.
