25/05/2012 (Bernama) - Sabah's focus on the booming crude palm oil (CPO) sector is timely as it has now become the main source of income for the state and the nation.

Its Chief Minster, Datuk Musa Aman, said Sabah has drawn up long-term plans and strategies to sustain its status as the main CPO producer in the country.

"The plans include research and development and acquiring technical know-how from experts all over the world.

"We are bringing in new technologies for the development of our oil palm industry in order to sustain in this sector," he told reporters after officiating Malaysia's largest Palm Oil Exhibition 2012 here Thursday.
