Activity At Karachi And Qasim Ports

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 31,761 tonnes including 21,349 tonnes of import; 10,412 tonnes of export cargo and the total number of 1,119 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Thursday.

The total import cargo volume of 21,349 tonnes comprised of 10,500 tonnes of palm oil and 10,849 tonnes of containerised cargo are handled during the business activity hours on the port.

The total export cargo volume of 10,412 tonnes comprised of 10,412 tonnes of containerised cargo is handled during the reported period of activities on Thursday.

There is only one cargo vessel namely C V CMA CGM Strauss sailed out to the sea on Thursday morning.

While there is another vessel namely C V SC Shanton is expected to sail out to the sea on the same day.

A total number of two vessels namely C V CMA CGM Strauss and C V SC Shanton are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo and palm oil tankers respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Thursday.

A total number of four vessels namely C V Nicoline Maersk, C V MSC Sena, C V Al-soor-II and C V Bunga Angelica carrying containerised cargo, diesel oil and palm oil respectively are currently to line up at the outer anchorage on Thursday during the Business activity hours.

A total number of four vessels namely C V Nicoline Maersk, C V MSC Sena, C V Al-soor-II and C V Bunga Angelica carrying containerised cargo, 52,476 tonnes of diesel oil and 25,490 tonnes of palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at International Container terminal, Fotco Oil Terminal and Liquid and Oil Terminal on Thursday at the port during peak business activity hours.

While there are three more cargo vessels namely C V CMA CGM Puget, M V Umm-Al-Dalhk and M T Harsandi carrying containerised cargo 35,500 tonnes of fertiliser and 8,700 tonnes of chemicals respectively are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day.

There is one of the two vessels namely C V Reunion carrying containerised cargo is due to arrive at the port on Friday, while the other cargo vessel namely C V Qubaa carrying oil tankers is expected to arrive at the port during business activity hours on Saturday.
