Development Programme Focus On Farming and Construction Materials
28/01/2012 (AngolaPress) - Agriculture, cattle breeding, fisheries, manufacturing industry and productive support services top the priorities of the Development Pprogramme of Micro, Small and Middle Companies (MPME), to starts its implementation in 2012.
This was said to Angop on Thursday by the Minister of Economy, Abraão Gourgel, while presenting the referred programme, approved in 2010, in a meeting with the ruling MPLA party politburo, representatives of the national entrepreneurs, under the guidance of the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos.
According to him, the agriculture sector will focus on the production of maize, rice, beans, cassava, potatoes, peanuts, palm oil, sunflower, sugar cane, fruits, and soya.
Cattle breeding will prioritise the raising of cows, oxen, goats and pigs, whereas in the fishing sector it is expected to increase the fishing activity, among others.
Production of zink sheets, tubes, cement, ceramics, paints, plasters, glue, varnishes, refrigeration appliances are part of the priorities of construction materials.
