AMSTERDAM, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Oils producer Loders Croklaan has startedconstruction of what is expected to be Europe's largest palm refinery atthe port of Rotterdam, the firm and port officials said on Tuesday.The plant will process 2,500 to 3,000 tonnes of crude palm oil a day andbecome operational in the last quarter of this year, Loders Croklaan saidon its website.

Totally, since the start of marketingyear (September) till the end of December Russia exported 48 percent morepalm oil than it had done over the same period of past MY (209,000 tonnesin Sep.-Dec. 2004).

If one were to compare this export figures of 1.3 mln tons withthe current stocks of 1.5 mln tons, the stockpile is not excessive atall.'
