03/01/2012 (Business Recorder) - Five ships arrived at the port Qasim on Friday, December 30 carrying containers at QICT, Project Cargo at MW 3 furnace oil at FOTCO, chemical at EVTL and canola seed at FAP.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50% at the Port on Sunday where a total of seven ships namely MV Formation, M.V Safmarine Ngami, M.V Msc Anafi, MT Kei, M.T Norgas Petaluma, MT Al Buhaira, M.V Perla Bulker are currently occupying berths to load/offload project cargo, containers, palm oil, furnace oil, canola seed and chemical was handled at Port last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 96258 tonnes comprising 63452 tonnes import 32806 tonnes export 3226 (TUES) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours. M.V Safmarine Ngami sailed on Friday afternoon. No arrive on December 31.
