27/12/2011 (Daily Times) -  Palm oil seed is abundant in Sudan and Pakistani investors should avail this investment opportunity, said Ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan Al-Shafey Ahmed Mohammed.

Meeting with Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, he discussed matters related to bilateral relations and trade promotion.

Sudan ambassador said the abundance of palm oil seed in Sudan represents the huge potential of investment in Sudan.

He urged the Pakistani business community to visit Sudan and meet the businessmen of Sudan for enhancing the trade relations.

Ali said good trade relation with Sudan was the priority of FPCCI and an increase in the presence level of trade is FPCCI’s desire.

He informed there are a lot of investment opportunities in different sectors of Pakistan and FPCCI would invite Sudanese investors to invest in Pakistan. Moreover, he said the delegation of FPCCI visited Sudan in November 2011 and also met with the Sudan president.

He said the Central Asia would be the new trade hub in future and FPCCI was always trying to find the new trade markets to expand trade relations.

He stated the police reporting is not mentioned in the visa form, which creates problems for people, when they exit Sudan. Therefore, Sudanese government should exempt the business community to police reporting or otherwise clearly mention the requirement of police reporting in the visa form, so that suitable steps be taken.
