08/12/2011 (TODAYonline) - Singapore-headquartered Mewah Group will invest US$295 million (S$378 million) on several projects and is also exploring the possibility of setting up a palm oil refinery in Indonesia, the Dow Jones news agency reported on Wednesday, citing its chief financial officer.
Part of the investment has already been made, and the rest will follow within about two years, said Mr Rajesh Chopra on the sidelines of an agriculture investment conference.
Mewah is also setting up new units to manufacture cocoa butter substitute, shortening, palm oil fat-based creamer and a palm oil packaging facility, he said.
