01/12/2011 (Daily Times) - Three ships carrying containers and palm oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and rice also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at 54 percent at the Port on Tuesday where a total of seven ships are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, phosphoric acid, furnace oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours. Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 92,478 tonnes, comprises 74,387 tonnes imports and 18,091 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,079 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours. app.
