24/11/2011 (Baking Management) - In response to continued demand, IOI Loders Croklaan is expanding its RSPO Certified Sustainable palm oil offering in the North American market.

“As interest continues to grow in using Certified Sustainable palm oil, a growing number of companies want to implement this oil in advance of publicly stated adoption dates,” Mark Weyland, sustainability director for IOI Loders Croklaan Americas, said in a press release. “IOI Loders Croklaan continues to expand the number of products offered using CSPO and CS palm kernel oil, supporting all customers achieve their stated goals,”

IOI Loders Croklaan started distributing RSPO certified, sustainable oil to North America in February 2011. In April, IOI Loders Croklaan became the first to offer RSPO certified segregated palm oil in continental Europe on a large scale.

IOI Loders Croklaan is part of the IOI Group, a fully integrated palm oil producer. Currently, 53 percent of IOI plantations have received RSPO approval and the company expects to complete certification for all of its holdings by the end of 2012.
