26/09/2011 (The Star) - Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Friday launched the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia-Yayasan Sime Darby (UKM-YSD) chair for sustainable development of zero waste technology for the palm oil industry at UKM here.

YSD also presented an endowment fund of RM15mil to the chair, to work on the innovation of palm oil milling processes through the creation of homegrown green tecnology for zero emission of greenhouse gasses.

Muhyiddin said this was an example of the close relationship between industry and university.
