Indonesia's Mmil to Build Cpo Factory in Bengkulu
JAKARTA, May 17 Asia Pulse - PT Muko Muko Indah Lestari (MMIL) said itwill build a crude palm oil (CPO) factory and an oil palm plantation inthe district of Muko Muko, Bengkulu.An executive of the regional office of the Capital Investment CoordinatingBoard Suparman said the company has set aside Rp87.3 billion (US$9million) for the project.
Suparman said the project has been licensed by the government.
Based on the license, the company will open 8,015 hectares of oil palmplantations providing jobs for 700 workers.
The company is also expected to buy fresh fruit bunches from local farmerswho often found it difficult to find buyers for their produce.
The existing CPO factories in Bengkulu don't have enough capacity toprocess all of the local production of FFB.
