13/05/2011 (Bernama) - Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd's pre-tax profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011, rose to RM81.7 million, from RM35.3 million, registered in the same quarter last year.

Revenue rose to RM238.5 million, during the period under review, from RM145 million recorded previously, the company said in a statement Thursday.

It attributed increased revenue to higher average crude palm oil and palm kernel prices and volume sales.
