21/12/2009 (Business Times, Malaysia) - Malaysia’s palm oil exports fell 15 per cent in December, independent market surveyor Intertek said.

A total of 1,206,130 metric tons of the commodity were tracked on December 1 to 31, versus 1,418,302 tons in the same period in November, Intertek said in an e-mail statement in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, palm oil gained as much as 2.1 per cent to RM2,649 a metric ton to the highest since June 2 today. The March contract was at RM2,645 at 11:52 a.m. on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. -Bloomberg-
