12/05/2009 (Reuters), Kuala Lumpur - The current hot weather has affected the palm oil production of Malaysian planter Sime Darby, a top official said on Tuesday.

"The hot weather is cutting slightly into palm oil production in our estates but it's not only our estates, it's across Malaysia," Sime President and CEO Ahmad Zubir Murshid told Reuters.
