6/09/05 (The Star) - THE Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will distributea business directory on "Who’s who in the palm oil industry" during thefive-day 2005 Palm Oil International Congress, or better known as PIPOC,from Sept 25.

PIPOC, the biggest conference involving the oils and fats community, is abiennial event organised by MPOB since 1984.

"This is the first time we are coming out with a directory. It will haveinformation not only about the participants, but also on who’s who in thepalm oil industry, suppliers of equipment and lots more," said MPOBdirector general Tan Sri Dr Yusof Basiron .

PIPOC participants would get complimentary copies while others could buyat a nominal price, he said.

The theme of this year’s PIPOC is "Technological Breakthroughs andCommercialisation -The Way Forward".

The directory, which will be known as the PIPOC 2005 Business Directory,is aimed at giving better value to the 1,500 participants.

MPOB had printed 2,000 copies and planned to produce such directories forevery future PIPOC, Yusof said. - Bernama
