Palm oil exports to Qatar to rise
27/05/2008 (Gulf Times), Doha - Malaysian palm oil exports to Qatar are expected to cross 15,000 metric tonnes in 2008, according to latest studies by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). The exports stood at 108 metric tonnes worth 1bn ringgits in 2007, according to official figures.
With aim of increasing its total export figures to Qatar, Malaysia is looking into developing its palm oil exports to the country. Qatari edible oil players such as Federal Foods Qatar, Ajaco Food
Factory and National Food Company are attending the ‘Malaysia-UAE Palm Oil Trade Fair & Seminar’, which was opened yesterday in Dubai. The firms seek to boost their trade ties with Malaysia, said a release.
