18/03/2008 (My Iris) - Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Department of Revenue, notified tariff values of edible oils, brass scrap (all grades) and Poppy seeds in its circular on Monday (Mar.17, 2008).

The tariff value of brass scrap (all grades) and Poppy seeds have been revised at 4,327 a metric ton (MT) and 5,759 MT respectively. The government also maintained the prevailing tariff rate of crude soyabean oil (USD 580 MT).

However, the tariff values of six palm group oils namely, Crude Palm Oil (USD 447 MT), RBD Palm Oil (USD 476 MT), Others - Palm Oil (USD 462 MT), Crude Palmolein (USD 481 MT), RBD Palmolein (USD 484 MT), Others - Palmolein (USD 484 MT) remained unchanged.
