CPO Futures End Mixed
Bernama (08/09/2026) - Crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mixed on Tuesday, amid expectations of a slower export pace.
Iceberg X Sdn Bhd proprietary trader David Ng, however, said ongoing dry weather, which could affect yields in the medium term, was supporting the market.
“We see prices supported above RM4,900, with resistance at RM5,050,” he told Bernama.
At the close, the September 2026 and October 2026 contracts fell RM10 each toRM4,688 and RM4,806 per tonne, respectively, while the November 2026 contract slipped RM2 to RM4,976 per tonne.
The December 2026 contract rose RM5 to RM5,115 per tonne, January 2027 gainedRM10 to RM5,224 per tonne, and February 2027 added RM7 to RM5,301 per tonne.
Trading volume rose to 120,701 lots from 91,019 lots on Monday, while open interest fell to 336,966 contracts from 337,392 contracts previously.
The physical CPO price for September South was unchanged at RM4,700 per tonne.
