Malaysia’s palm oil production set to rise in 2025
24/07/2025 (Investing.com) - Malaysia’s crude palm oil production is likely to increase to 19.5 million metric tons in 2025 from 19.3 million tons in 2024, according to a senior regulatory official.
Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir, director-general of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), attributed the expected production growth to improvements in labor supply. He made these comments while speaking to reporters on Thursday.
The world’s second-largest palm oil producer is also projected to see a slight increase in exports in 2025. Kadir indicated that exports could rise marginally to 17 million tons compared to the previous year.
