10/09/2024 (Reuters), Dubai - The lowest offer presented at an Egyptian state purchasing tender for vegetable oils on Tuesday was $1,036 per metric ton cost and freight (c&f) for 12,000 tons of soyoil, traders said.

The lowest offer presented for sunflower oil was $1,080 a ton c&f, they added. Multiple offers were presented at this price point.

Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), is seeking vegetable oils for arrival between Nov. 20 and Dec. 5 and/or Dec. 10-25.

GASC said traders should submit c&f offers for payment at sight using funding from the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC). The deadline for offers is Sep. 10.
