MPOB to host Int’l Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition 2023 in KL from Nov 7-9
27/09/2023 (The Edge Malaysia), Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will organise the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (Pipoc) 2023, the world’s largest oil palm congress and exhibition, from Nov 7-9, 2023, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
MPOB director-general Datuk Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir said the event would introduce new technologies in the palm oil industry, and participants would gain valuable opportunities to learn, share their knowledge, and explore further advancements in the industry.
“PIPOC 2023 will feature more than 100 world-renowned speakers and experts who will provide valuable insights, share their expertise, and contribute to the dynamic discussions on the palm oil industry’s current trends, challenges, opportunities and latest technologies, with an expected 2,000 participants from across the globe.
“Among distinguished speakers to be featured include Tan Sri Yusof Basiron from Dibiz Global, Malaysia, who will address the core theme of Pipoc, which revolves around ‘Navigating Uncertainties and Building Resilience’,” Ahmad Parveez said in a statement on Wednesday.
Other speakers would include Thomas Mielke from Oil World, Germany; and Datuk Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha, MPOB’s chairman.
Additionally, Pipoc 2023 will host four concurrent conferences addressing vital topics, namely sustainability, food safety and value addition, among others.
“It provides a platform for interaction, networking opportunities, and in-depth deliberation on various aspects of the industry, from the latest policy developments, to the challenges and the way forward.
“The congress will also feature a trade exhibition with over 400 booths displaying new industry advances, current technologies, equipment, and products,” MPOB said.
Pipoc 2023, to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will also encompass exciting activities for the participants, including technical tours to oil palm plantations, palm oil mills, refineries, and research and development facilities.
