CHINA TO ISSUE 700,000 T PALM OIL IMPORT QUOTAS

BEIJING, July 11 (Reuters) - China will issue a fresh batch of oil palmimport quotas within the next two days allowing the import of another700,000 tonnes this year, a trader told Reuters on Wednesday."The State Development Planning Commission held a meeting yesterday andthe quotas will be issued in the next two days," said the trader at COFCO,the leading state-owned grains trader.In January, the government issued import quotas for 600,000 tonnes ofpalm oil in the first half of the year and in May it issued quotas foranother 100,000 tonnes.
