Sell As Much Palm Oil Stocks Now, Urges Lim Keng Yaik

KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 (Bernama) -- Oil palm plantation owners with highstocks were today urged by Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Dr LimKeng Yaik to sell as much as they can as soon as possible.

"Don't wait for the higher price. Sell more now. Don't hope for the priceto come to the 1997 level. That price is difficult to get," he toldreporters after attending the Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia committeemeeting at Wisma PGRM here.

He said crude palm oil price which was over RM2000 per tonne before wasdown to less than RM800 a few months back this year.
