Russia in January-March reduced the import of palm oil by 8.1%

The Times Hub (27/05/2020) - In the 1st quarter 2020 Russia has reduced the import of palm oil and its fractions 8.1% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019 to 231 thousand tons, according to data of Federal state statistics service (Rosstat). In March, imports grew at an annual rate of 49.2%, or 1.5 times – to 86.9 thousand tons. In January-March last year, the decline in palm oil imports was 5.8%.

Import Cocos (koprovogo) oil, and babassu oil in January-March increased in annual terms by 26.7% to 24.6 thousand tons.

The import of sunflower, safflower and cottonseed oils fell by 4.4 times – to 0.2 thousand tonnes.

In January-March Russia imported 31,2 thousand tons of butter, which is 17.6% more than in January-March last year.

Meat imports decreased by 29.1% to 70,6 thousand tons of poultry meat increased by 9.8% to 55,6 thousand tons of fish – fell by 3.1% – up to 105 thousand tons.
