FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Monday as cargo surveyor data showed stronger March exports, although gains were capped by concerns about higher production.

* U.S. corn, soybean and wheat futures rose on Monday, rebounding from Friday's sell-off spurred by a government report that showed massive supplies of all three commodities remained in storage bins around the country.

* Oil prices rose to fresh highs for the year on Tuesday, after a U.S. official said Washington is considering more sanctions on Iran and a key Venezuelan export terminal halted operations.

MARKET NEWS

* Global stocks rallied on Monday, kicking off the second quarter on a strong note, as investors cheered upbeat factory activity data in China and the United States and signs of progress on the U.S.-China trade front.
