14.11.2018 (The Edge Markets) - GUANGZHOU, China/BEIJING (Nov 14): India's vegetable oils imports for 2018/19 are seen at 15.497 million tonnes, up from 15.013 million tonnes a year ago, according to Bhavna Shah, Country Representative in India/Sri Lanka for Malaysian Palm Oil Concil (MPOC).

Palm oil imports were expected to rise to 9.48 million tonnes in the year to October 2019, compared with 9.07 million tonnes a year earlier, the official said, speaking at an industry conference in Guangzhou, China.

India's 2018/19 soybean oil imports were seen at 3.08 million tonnes, up from 3.05 million tonnes for 2017/18.

Sunflower oil imports into India for the year were estimated at 2.57 million tonnes, vs 2.53 million tonnes.
