Malaysia to assume CPOPC leadership

The Star Online (09/11/2018) - PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will assume the chairmanship of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) from Jan 1, 2019, for a period of two years.

This was announced following the fifth ministerial meeting of the CPOPC co-chaired by Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Indonesia Darmin Nasution in Putrajaya yesterday.

In a joint statement, Kok thanked Nasution for his chairmanship and leadership role.

During the meeting, the ministers said they were keen to expand CPOPC’s membership base among palm-oil producing countries and had welcomed Colombia as the newest member.
