Groundnut oil edges up on scattered demand

The Times of India (23/07/2018) - New Delhi, Jul 23 () Groundnut oil prices went up by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on mild demand from retailers.

Linseed oil in the non-edible oil section, also traded higher on up tick in demand.

Traders attributed the rise in groundnut oil prices to some demand from retailers.

In the national capital, groundnut oil edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 8,650 per quintal.

Among non-edibles, linseed oil also enquired higher by Rs 100 to Rs 9,400 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900, Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.

Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,650, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,750-1,850, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,000, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,285-1,330, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,335-1,435, Sesame mill delivery Rs 10,000, Soybean Refined mill delivery (Indore) Rs 7,650, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 7,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 5,500, Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) Rs 7,550, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,850, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 6,900 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 3,100-3,150.
