Palm Oil Powered Vehicles In Upcoming Energy Show
PENANG, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Solar powered cars are nothing new today.But what about palm oil powered vehicles? These are among the latestinventions - some of which are by local scientists - using natural energysources.
The Centre for Education and Training in Renewable Energy and EnergyEfficiency (Cetree) will widen its upcoming exbihition to include thepublic and to expose them on the latest inventions using palm oil andsolar energy.
Cetree Manager Associate Professor Dr Fauziah Sulaiman said the exhibitionis basically on replacement energy source for petroleum, gas andelectricity.
She said solar-powered heaters and generators will be on show too aspeople are yet to use and benefit from these energy efficient equipment.
Cetree will conduct mobile exhibitions in about 11 secondary schools inthe state. Exbihition on usage and cost savings will also be held forprofessionals.
Cetree was set up by Universiti Sains Malaysia and sponsored by the DanishInternational Development Authority and the Ministry of Energy,Communications and Multimedia. --BERNAMA
