Malaysia palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Wednesday Nov 22
22/11/2017 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday Nov 22.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Tuesday, reversing a slide to its weakest since mid-August earlier in the day, after top buyer India raised its import duties on vegetable oils.
* Chicago wheat futures rose on Tuesday as a decline in U.S. crop ratings and news of radioactive pollution in the Ural mountains triggered a round of short-covering and concern about wheat exports from Russia, the world's top supplier.
* Oil edged up on Tuesday, supported by expectations that OPEC and other producing countries next week would extend output cuts, but signs of higher U.S. crude output kept prices under pressure.
MARKET NEWS
* Asian shares scaled a fresh decade peak on Wednesday thanks to surging markets in Europe and America, as strong global growth and rising corporate profits lured hordes of investors into equities.
