21/11/2017  (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Tuesday Nov 21.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures fell to their lowest in three months on Monday evening as sentiment took a hit from India's move to raise import tax on edible oils to its highest in over a decade.

* Chicago wheat futures 0#W: fell 1.4 percent on Monday as the dollar climbed against a basket of currencies, making U.S. grain more expensive in a well-supplied global market.

* Oil prices fell 0.8 percent on Monday, extending recent weakness ahead of next week's OPEC meeting, while a rally in the dollar hurt commodities across the board.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian stocks edged higher on Tuesday as investors took heart from further evidence of strength in the global economy, while the dollar hovered near a one-week high against its peers thanks to higher U.S. yields and a floundering euro.
