12/05/2017 (Nagaland Post) - One-day training programme on oil palm cultivation was organized by District Agriculture Office (DAO), Wokha, on May 10, at Old Changsu community hall.

The programme was conducted under NMOOP (National Mission on Oilseeds and Oilpalm). 

At the programme, Nzanbemo T Erui as resource person elaborated on the benefits, its importance and economical aspects of cultivating oilpalm to the farmers.

He also gave a detailed and lucid explanation about the package of practices of oil palm. 

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Agriculture officer, O. Eyingo Tungoe who also highlighted the activities under NMOOP.

The programme further followed interactive session between the resource person, officials and beneficiaries. Later, vote of thanks was delivered by AFA C. Pichamo. Altogether, 27 beneficiaries attended the training programme.
