Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Monday Mar 27
27/03/2017 (The Star Online) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Monday Mar 27.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures fell to their lowest in a week on Friday evening, tracking weaker performing related oils.
* U.S. soybean futures dropped 1.6 percent on Friday to their lowest level in more than five months on pressure from rising forecasts for already-robust South American harvests, traders said.
* Oil rose modestly on Friday in a spate of late-day activity, but fell on the week as concerns persisted over an excess of crude.
MARKET NEWS
* Asian stocks are set to start the week on a cautious note as President Donald Trump's stunning failure to get healthcare reform passed raised concerns about the prospects for his plans to use fiscal stimulus to boost economic growth.
