21/03/2017 (Hindu Business Line) - Mix trend prevailed in edible oils on back of weak futures amid slack physical demand. On BCE groundnut and soya oil declined by ₹10 and ₹1 each. Rapeseed and cotton oil rose by ₹10 and ₹1 each.

During the day about 350-400 tonnes of palmolein bought by traders in the range of ₹574 -580. Liberty’s rates for Palmolein Ex STC/Shapur were ₹585/586 for March. Super palmolein at ₹606 and Soyabean refined oil ex Shapur ₹650 for March. Ruchi’s rate for Soyabean refined oil ₹652.50 for up to 10 Apr. and Sunflower oil ₹665 up to 30 April. Allana’s ratesfor Palmolein were ex-Khopoli /ex-IVP ₹585/588 for April. Soya refined oil ₹660 for April. Sunflower refined oil ₹685 for April.

At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin steady at ₹1,510 (1,510) and Loose (10 kgs) at 950 (950). Malaysian crude palm oil April-17 futures settled lower at MYR 2,939 (MYR 2,966) and May-17 ended up at MYR2,843 (MYR 2,873). On The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (Rs/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 990 (1000), soya refined oil 647 (648), sunflower exp. ref. 610 (605), sunflower ref. 665 (670), rapeseed ref. oil 750 (740), rapeseed expeller ref. 720 (710), cottonseed ref. oil 649 (648) and Palmolein 575 (575).
