MPOC Chairman's Tenure Extended
21/02/2017 (Bernama) - The Ministry Of Plantation Industries and Commodities has extended the tenure of office of Malaysian Palm Oil Council’s (MPOC) Chairman, Datuk Lee Yeow Chor, for two more years, effective Feb 22, 2017.
In a statement today, the ministry said, Lee was a highly experienced proponent of the palm oil industry.
“He is also actively involved and well-experienced in facing the anti-palm oil campaign. He is also involved in the efforts to strengthen the development of the palm oil industry through promotional campaigns and economic missions to main importing countries,” it said.
The ministry also expressed its confidence with regards to Lee’s capabilities in leading and strengthening MPOC’s mission to promote and expand the palm oil product market in the global arena.--BERNAMA
