New Crop Arrivals Crush Mustard
03/02/2017 (Hindu Business Line) - Majority of oils in Indore mandis traded higher on strong global cues and scattered buying barring groundnut oil. Soya refined was quoted at ₹710-12 for 10 kg, while soya solvent ruled at ₹680-84. Palm oil was quoted at ₹686-87, while cotton oil ruled at ₹700 (up ₹ from last week). Groundnut oil slipped to ₹1,000 a quintal (down ₹40 from last week) .
With new mustard seeds hitting mandis across Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere, prices in the physical market declined by ₹200 in the past one week to ₹3,800 a quintal, while raida declined to ₹3,600. Plant deliveries of new mustard seeds for Jaipur line today were also lower at ₹4,160-65, while plant deliveries for old mustard seeds were at ₹4,180-85 respectively.
Arrival of mustard seeds across the country today was recorded at 85,000 bags including 25,000 bags of new mustard seeds.
