20/10/2016 (APP) - Four ships C.V Maersk Detroit, C.V Al-Khor, M.V Lian Hua Song and Constantinos carrying container, project cargo and diesel oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile five more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo palm oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was observed at the prot at 60% on Tuesday where a total of nine berths were engaged by ships namely C.V Maersk Detroit, C.V Al-Khor, M.T M.Gas and M.T Constantinos to load/offload containers, fertilizer, project cargo, soya bean seeds, LPG and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation remained upward trend at the port on Tuesday where a cargo volume of 129,124 tonnes, comprising 111,682 tonnes import cargo and 17,442 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,125 containers TEUs)(3,207 imports TUEs & 918 TUEs exports) was handle at the port during last 24 hours.

Two ships M.T Globe Tanya and C.V Maersk Detroit sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another ship M.T Constantinos is expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Three ships C.V Northern Jambore, M.T Hong Hai-6 and M.T M. Lion carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT and FOTCO respectively on Wednesday, while LNG carrier M.T Al-Nauman is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, and container vessel Mataquito is due arrive on Thursday.
