Shipping Activity At Port Qasim
11/10/2016 (Associated Press of Pakistan) - Shipping activity remained active at the port four ships C.V MSC Rachele, C.V HS Chopin and M.V Sea Merchant and M.V Da Yu Xia scheduled to load/offload Containers, Cement and Project cargo were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Sunday, 9th October-2016. Meanwhile five more ships with containers, Palm oil, Furnace oil, Diesel oil and LPG also arrived anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth Occupancy was managed at the Port at 53% on where a total of eight berths were engaged by ships namely C.V TG Poseidon, C.V MSC Rachele, C.V HS Chopin, M.V Sea Merchant, M.V Diamond Sun, M.V Da Yu xia, M.T Bunga Aster and M.T M. Gas to load/offload Containers, Cement, Project cargo, Palm oil and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 86,989 tonnes, comprising 51,193 tonnes import cargo and 35,796 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,580 Containers TEUs) (1,176 imports TUEs & 2,276 TUEs exports) was handled at the port.
C.V HS Chopin sailed out to sea on Monday morning.
Four ships C.V Al-Hilal, M.V Da Young, M.T Liberty -N and M.T Povino Spirit carrying Containers, apalm oil and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, FOTCO and EVTL respectively on Monday 10th October-2016.
