15/09/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Thursday Sept 15.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures hit their lowest in nearly two weeks on Wednesday as weak demand outweighed support from a weaker ringgit and data showing end-August stocks at a near six-year low.

* U.S. wheat and corn futures firmed slightly on Wednesday, supported by a round of bargain buying, traders said.

* Oil prices fell about 3 percent for a second straight day on Wednesday, after data showing large weekly builds in U.S. petroleum products offset a surprise draw in crude stockpiles.

MARKET NEWS

* The U.S. Treasury yield curve hit its steepest in more than two months on Wednesday, while world stock markets edged lower as investors fretted about future U.S. interest rate hikes.
