Ukraine Increased Palm Oil Imports By 22% This Season
11/07/2016 (UkrAgroConsult) - In May 2016 Ukraine imported 11.8 KMT of palm oil against 7.7 KMT in May 2015. Slight reduction in this product imports was observed for the second consecutive month. In April 2016 Ukraine imported 14 KMT, and in March - 15.8 KMT.
This reduction didn't have a great impact on the season's results. During the first nine months of the current season (September 2015 – May 2016) palm oil imports to Ukraine were more than 22% higher than last season. If we consider a longer period, palm oil imports to Ukraine decreased due to reduction of domestic consumption and this product processing.
