29/04/2016 (Bernama) - Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd's (FGV) subsidiary, Felda Transport Services Sdn Bhd (FTSSB), has expanded its operations by opening a new office in Kuching, Sarawak.

In a statement, FGV said the new office, located at Sejingat Industrial Park, would begin operations on May 3.

FTSSB's new office would manage logistical services in four key areas of palm oil transport, cargo operations, forwarding and multimodal transport operator, through the MAS Kargo Complex and Kuching Port.

FGV Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said the establishment of the FTSSB office in Kuching would offer more employment opportunities to the local community in the Sarawak logistics industry.

"FTSSB will be able to offer existing and potential business partners standard and specialised logistic services, and this will generate economic growth in the sector and support socio-economic development of the surrounding area," he added.
