Russia. Farmers' Sales of Sunseed to Crushers Remain Low
18/02/2016 (UkrAgroConsult) - Domestic prices for oilseeds in Russia remained unchanged. On the EXW basis prices for sunflower seed are announced in average in the range of RUB 26500-27500/ MT. Ruble strengthening and stabilization of export prices for sunoil triggered stabilization of domestic sunflower seed market. However, the pace of farmers’ sales of seeds to the plants remains quite low.
Also the development of the Russian oilseed market is determined by the possible implementation of excise duty on palm oil in the Russian Federation. The implementation of the excise duty may increase domestic prices for sunflower oil and, as a result, prices for oilseeds.
